Few people bring as much experience and gumption to the job as Robert Rytter. For over 30 years, he’s been a design powerhouse. He has won just about every conceivable design award, taught at his alma mater, the Maryland Institute College of Art, and, most importantly, he has developed countless strategic marketing campaigns for national and international corporations as well as colleges and universities. Gracious, warm and always affable, Robert brings his trademark casual style to all his clients. When he’s not at the office, he can be found at the helm of his boat, screaming across the waters of the Chesapeake, exploring the Bay’s less traveled nooks.

Design skills and people skills don’t always make a good match. Gail has the rare gift for both. In fact, she personifies the way we do business: she not only designs, but she also prides herself on her accessibility and responsiveness to clients. Gail has worked along side Rytter for 13 years—since the firm first opened its doors. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, her work has appeared in numerous design publications including Print and has been recognized by the Advertising Association of Baltimore.

When Alli first joined our team, we only knew two things about her. 1.) She had a knockout portfolio. 2.) Her reference described her as "a true Mid-Westerner." What exactly a true Mid-Westerner is, we didn’t have the foggiest. However, we have reached some conclusions: Alli brings all the high energy, hard work and youthful optimism everyone wants in a designer. She is a graduate of the Portfolio Center—a prestigious graphic design school in Atlanta—and has a degree in advertising from Michigan State. Recently she won American Advertising Awards both locally and regionally. Alli’s artistic bent doesn’t stop at the office; at home she is a craftaholic, creating everything from mosaics to Chinese brush paintings.

Since she founded Rytter Design with Robert in 1989, Carol has been at the helm of the finances of the firm. Her primary responsibilities have been in the home, raising three wonderful children, but she has found time to manage and direct the business side of Rytter Design with style and efficiency. Carol is a graduate of the College of Notre Dame where she majored in both Business and Communication.
